About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure. You will play a key role in shaping our cloud architecture, automating infrastructure delivery, and improving the reliability and efficiency of our systems. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who is passionate about infrastructure-as-code, container orchestration, and building robust delivery pipelines.

What You'll Do

- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure on AWS

- Build and manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, ensuring consistent, repeatable, and version-controlled deployments

- Deploy, operate, and scale containerized workloads using Kubernetes

- Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and safe software delivery

- Monitor system health, performance, and cost, and proactively identify areas for optimization

- Implement infrastructure security best practices, including IAM policies, network segmentation, and secrets management

- Collaborate with software engineering teams to support application deployment needs and troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues

- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response, driving root-cause analysis and long-term fixes

- Document infrastructure architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures

- Evaluate new tools, services, and practices to continuously improve the reliability and efficiency of the cloud platform

- Mentor other engineers on cloud best practices and infrastructure-as-code standards

What We're Looking For

- 5+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, etc.)

- Proven experience writing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code with Terraform

- Solid experience deploying and managing workloads on Kubernetes (EKS or self-managed)

- Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar)

- Experience with containerization tools (Docker) and container registries

- Understanding of networking fundamentals (VPCs, subnets, load balancing, DNS, security groups)

- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar)

- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Go)

- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to operate effectively in production incident scenarios

- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering teams

Nice to Have

- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator)

- Experience with GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux)

- Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)

- Familiarity with multi-account AWS architectures and AWS Organizations

- Experience with cost optimization / FinOps practices

- Exposure to compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
