What You'll Do As the Utilities Segment Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing the growth strategy for the Water & Power sector across Africa.
You will work closely with utility operators, government entities, regulators, and strategic partners to identify opportunities, build long-term relationships, and deliver impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the business growth strategy for the Water & Power utilities segment across Africa.
Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with utility companies, ministries, regulators, and public-sector stakeholders.
Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision-makers across the utilities ecosystem.
Lead commercial activities, including opportunity management, proposal development, negotiations, and contract closure.
Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to design solutions that address client challenges and business objectives.
Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and regulatory developments to identify growth opportunities.
Represent Advansys at industry conferences, exhibitions, and client engagements across the region.
Drive revenue growth, pipeline development, and segment performance reporting.
Contribute to strategic partnerships and alliances that strengthen the company's presence within the utilities sector.

Proven success in developing business opportunities and managing strategic client relationships.
Strong understanding of utility operations, digital transformation initiatives, smart infrastructure, or enterprise technology solutions for the utilities sector.
Existing network within utility companies, government organizations, regulators, or infrastructure stakeholders across Africa is highly preferred.
Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
MBA or postgraduate qualification is a plus.
Fluency in English is required.
Willingness to travel across Africa as business needs require.
