• Our client has introduced advanced battery storage technology to India and has strategically entered the market for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to facilitate local manufacturing and deployment in the country.

An Ideal Candidate:

• The candidate is expected to possess extensive experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) products. Additionally, the candidate must have experience in Design of Experiments (DOE) and Design Verification Plan (DVP) for lithium-ion products. It is essential that the candidate has worked with high voltage systems and is knowledgeable about the relevant certifications and regulations pertaining to these products.

Key Competencies:

• Electrical R&D (BESS) will lead and manage the research and development of electrical systems and subsystems related to Battery Energy Storage Systems including inverter design, control systems, power conversion, and protection systems.Supervise development and validation of BMS and energy management systems.Direct prototype development, testing, and performance analysis.Stay abreast of advancements in electrical engineering, energy storage, and power electronics to drive innovation.Coordinate with product design, manufacturing, and QA teams to ensure design for manufacturability and reliability.Guide team in simulation, modeling, and hardware-in-loop testing of systems.Review and approve technical documentation, test plans, and design reports.Ensure compliance with relevant international standards (UL, IEC, IEEE, etc.).Manage R&D budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.Mentor and develop engineering talent within the team.Design and solutioning of lithium ion battery systems , knowledge of the factor for calculations and designing of battery pack , responsible for approvals of products , should have knowledge of standards requirement of lithium ion packs in system segment
