Project Role : Custom Application Architect
Project Role Description : Provide functional and/or technical expertise to plan, analyze, define and support the delivery of future functional and technical capabilities for an application or group of applications. Assist in facilitating impact assessment efforts and in producing and reviewing estimates for client work requests.

Summary
As a Senior Software Engineer – GenAI & Agent Development, you will be responsible for developing applications and systems that utilize Generative AI, agent-based patterns, and Google Cloud AI services. Your typical day will involve applying Google Agent Development Kit (ADK), Gemini models, and RAG-based retrieval techniques as part of production-ready GenAI solutions.
This role is highly hands-on and focused on building scalable, reliable, and well-grounded AI agents under the guidance of senior engineers and leads.
Roles & Responsibilities
Design and develop agent-based GenAI applications and systems using Google ADK
Build and implement AI agents that integrate with Google Cloud AI services
Develop and integrate RAG pipelines, including data ingestion, chunking, embedding generation, and context retrieval
Apply Gemini and Vertex AI models as part of GenAI solutions
Work with Vertex AI Machine Learning services for embeddings and inference
Integrate agents with backend services, APIs, and tools to fulfill user queries and actions
Implement prompt templates and prompt chains for agent behavior
Assist in developing Graph RAG components under guidance
Debug and resolve grounding, retrieval, and response-quality issues
Follow defined security and execution patterns for agents
Document technical designs, workflows, and integration setup
Write clean, maintainable, and production-quality code
Work closely with L9/L8 team members to deliver end-to-end solutions
Professional & Technical Skills
Must Have Skills
Experience with Generative AI application development
Understanding of RAG concepts and chunking strategies
Familiarity with Vertex AI and Gemini models
Strong programming skills in Python (or Node.js)
Prompt engineering fundamentals
Experience building cloud-based applications with production-quality standards
Good To Have Skills
Exposure to Google Agent Development Kit (ADK)
Basic understanding of agent workflows or multi-step reasoning
Familiarity with vector databases or embeddings
Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Services or Google Cloud Professional Architect certifications
Additional Information
5 years of relevant experience
Proficient in Google Cloud Machine Learning Services and GenAI fundamentals
Strong educational background in computer science, engineering, or related fields
