Vacancy for Documentation Engineer

The purpose of this job is to ensure that the local E&S site has a well-defined documentation delivery process and improving documentation procedures at every step to achieve the set performance targets on quality. Position shall also contribute in the development of technology know how.

The position / About the Job:

In this job the Documentation engineer would be responsible for:

Ensure that the quality of the documentation package is maintained at a desired level for all projects assigned by our internal customer from different sites of Alfa Laval. To achieve the same typical administrative duties can be elements such as :

• Work with quality assurance of documents and tasks and follow given quality procedures
• Follow the machinery directives (table of contents) while working on technical manuals
• Work with product experts and project teams in setting and improving standards for Alfa Laval’s product documentation
• Capable of understanding various types of process components from other suppliers
• Capable of understanding and analyzing the contents of technical documents
• Compilation of Documents using Adobe Acrobat professional
• Cross-cultural awareness
• Should be well conversant with MS Office tools
• Providing suggestions and ideas for improving documentation and implementing these in daily work procedures
• Delivering and driving an improvement of current solutions and/ or developing new solutions to ensure our competitive advantage.
• Carry out root cause analysis & suggest corrective actions for observed non-conformances
• Support the site Best practice quality manager in maintaining and developing the Quality Management System for E&S
• Contribute in QMS audits

Who you are

Experience and Education:

• Mechanical / Industrial Production / Chemical Graduate or Diploma engineer having relevant experience
• Minimum 1-4 years of experience in relevant function within project industry. Preferably in handling international projects and/ or Indian projects of MNCs.

Knowledge:

• Good knowledge in writing the Technical Manuals
• Should have in depth knowledge about Adobe Acrobat Professional software
• Knowledge and experience in QMS like ISO 9001.

Skills:

• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Experience in having in-depth knowledge about using Adobe Acrobat Professional software, MS tools
• Experience with quality systems and management.
• Good at reading and interpreting technical documents, drawings and specifications
• Knowledge on writing Technical Manuals (like IOM’s Manuals)
• Fluent written and spoken English
