Department- LAPS Development

Company- Novo Nordisk Global Business Services (GBS)

Bring your LIMS expertise to a global platform that supports the quality of life-saving medicines – and see your code make a difference where it matters most.

Your new role

As a LabVantage LIMS Developer (BioBanking), you will play a key role in the build, operation, and maintenance of our BioBanking solution within globalLIMS – Novo Nordisk's core LIMS platform used across QC and R&ED. Working closely with Line of Business, Quality, IT, and external vendors, you will translate laboratory and business needs into compliant, robust LIMS solutions, while also acting as Tech Lead on our LabVantage 8.9 Upgrade Project.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, developing, and customising LabVantage LIMS and integrations, translating business and laboratory needs into GxP-compliant solutions
  • Designing and supporting integrations using REST/SOAP and middleware (e.g. MuleSoft)
  • Acting as technical SME supporting testing and GxP validation, and providing technical support to LIMS support teams, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Coordinating and executing IT changes – from requirement analysis, POC and development, to unit testing, risk assessment and documentation (TDS/FDS)
  • Supporting deployments, releases, and upgrades across environments, including planned and unplanned release activities
  • Collaborating with globalLIMS AM teams on critical issues, root cause analysis, and long-term solutions
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and users to align system functionality with business needs and compliance requirements

Your new department

In Enterprise IT & Quality, you will be part of a business area that drives impact across the full Novo Nordisk value chain. We strive to stay close to our stakeholders in the business to ensure we deliver on their needs, helping reach millions of people living with serious chronic diseases. Our focus is on being at the forefront within our three areas; ensuring the highest quality for patients, being a trusted tech leader and an environmentally responsible business.

You will join LIMS, Planning & Ecosystems – the department responsible for supporting QC LAB systems across development, operation, maintenance, and support. Based in our Global Business Services (GBS) centre in India, our team collaborates closely with stakeholders at HQ and across the globe to keep globalLIMS running as a reliable backbone of quality across QC and R&ED.

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for an experienced LabVantage LIMS Developer who thrives in a regulated, global environment and enjoys turning complex laboratory needs into elegant technical solutions. To succeed in this role, you bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 8+ years of professional experience in software development, including a minimum of 4+ years hands-on experience with LabVantage LIMS (v8.5 or higher) in a regulated Life Sciences environment
  • Proven expertise in Workflow Management, Array Management, DFD, LES Worksheet, Reagent Management, Sample, Batch and BioBanking modules
  • Demonstrated experience working with GxP-compliant applications, including data integrity, change control, CSV processes, and validation expectations; knowledge of Python is a plus
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, working effectively with laboratory users, Quality, IT, vendors, and integration partners across cultures and geographies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, combined with good interpersonal and decision-making skills, and the ability to work in an organised and flexible way under strict process guidelines and deadlines
