Job Description

Security and Hardening specialist 

1. Security Policy Design & Enforcement

• Design, implement, and manage Azure Policies and platform security configurations
• Define and enforce security baselines and hardening standards across cloud environments
• Ensure alignment with industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS benchmarks)
• Continuously monitor policy compliance and remediate deviations

2. Cloud Security & Platform Hardening

• Harden cloud environments across networking, compute, storage, and identity layers
• Implement secure deployment patterns and guardrails using Azure-native capabilities
• Work on Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies and least-privilege access enforcement
• Secure modern cloud architectures including microservices, containers, and PaaS services

3. Security Tools & Vulnerability Management

• Deploy and manage security tools including: Vulnerability scannersStatic and dynamic code analysis toolsIDS/IPS systemsFirewalls and endpoint protection solutions
• Identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations
• Integrate security tools into CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines

4. Governance, Compliance & Risk Management

• Support implementation of cloud security governance frameworks
• Map policies to compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, internal controls)
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
• Assist in audits and compliance reporting activities

5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Enablement

• Collaborate with engineering, platform, DevOps, and security teams
• Translate security requirements into technical policies and controls
• Provide guidance and best practices for secure cloud adoption
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives to strengthen security posture

6. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Drive automation of security controls and policy enforcement
• Monitor emerging threats and continuously improve security posture
• Contribute to security roadmaps and platform evolution strategies
• Stay updated on cloud security trends, tools, and best practices
