Microsoft 365 Developer – SharePoint Online Migration Specialist

Roles & Responsibilities :
We are seeking a skilled Microsoft 365 Developer with strong experience in SharePoint Online migrations and Microsoft 365 technologies. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in migrating content from legacy platforms to SharePoint Online using migration tools such as Quest On Demand Migration (ODM) and ShareGate. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to deliver seamless migration projects while ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Design, plan, and execute SharePoint Online migration projects from on-premises SharePoint, file shares, and other collaboration platforms. 

  
  

• Perform content discovery, assessment, analysis, and migration readiness activities. 

  
  

• Utilize Quest On Demand Migration (ODM) and ShareGate for large-scale migration projects. 

  
  

• Develop and customize SharePoint Online solutions using SPFx, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365 services. 

  
  

• Create migration strategies, run pilot migrations, and execute production migrations. 

  
  

• Troubleshoot migration issues and optimize migration performance. 

  
  

• Implement governance, security, permissions, and compliance requirements within Microsoft 365. 

  
  

• Collaborate with business users and project teams to gather requirements and provide technical guidance. 

  
  

• Prepare technical documentation, migration runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials. 

  
  

Required Skills 

• 5–6 years of experience in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint technologies. 

  
  

• Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint Online migration projects. 

  
  

• Expertise in Quest On Demand Migration (ODM) and ShareGate migration tools. 

  
  

• Experience with SharePoint Online administration, site collections, permissions, and content management. 

  
  

• Knowledge of SharePoint Framework (SPFx), JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and REST APIs. 

  
  

• Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, and Microsoft Teams integration. 

  
  

• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 security, governance, and compliance. 

  
  

• Experience in migration assessment, planning, execution, and post-migration validation. 

  
  

• Knowledge of Azure AD, Entra ID, and Microsoft Graph API. 

  
  

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 

  
  

Preferred Skills 

• Experience with Content Matrix or other migration tools. 

  
  

• Microsoft 365 or SharePoint certifications. 

  
  

• Experience working in enterprise-scale migration programs. 

  
  

• Exposure to Azure services and DevOps practices. 

  
  

Nice to Have 

• Experience in tenant-to-tenant migrations. 

  
  

• Knowledge of Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Purview migrations. 

  
  

• Experience in scripting using PowerShell for migration automation and reporting.
