Sabre is seeking a talented Principal Tester to support the Conferma Team. This person will report to the Manager Software Engineering.

Our Development teams at Conferma build and maintain the systems that enable billions of pounds of B2B payments each year. They have engineered connectivity to over 70 of the world’s best commercial card partners, over 700 travel management companies and over 150 travel technology partners. They build the mobile, web and backend platforms that streamline payment processes, reduce admin and improve cashflow for our customers.

As our Principal tester, you will be our brightest and best. You will lead the way on how we perform testing. You will be responsible for assessing and enhancing our testing processes, implementing automation proficiency and evaluating and recommending the tools and technologies we should use to ensuring high-quality software delivery. You will rigorously enforce testing standards and ensure our application stack is fit for future. We have ambitious plans and you will be delivering the software that will allow us to deliver upon these.
We partner with some of the biggest names in finance and banking and this requires high standards. You will work with our product teams to deliver exciting new features and help us reach new markets worldwide. You will play a key role in ensuring we deliver software that is extensible, robust, performant and secure.
Role and Responsibilities:

• Evaluating and recommending tools and technologies used within our testing process. 
• Staying up to date with relevant testing technologies and approaches, understanding their capabilities and proposing and promoting appropriate use within Conferma.
• Ensuring the team is working efficiently, effectively and delivering high-quality software.
• Acting as a Subject Matter Expert and technical authority across the testing area.
• Continually assessing and evaluating the performance of our test function, recommending areas for improvement and implementing these successfully.
• Mentoring, coaching and developing members of the department.
• Providing technical guidance and consultancy to all squads, unblocking issues and resolving problems. 
• Effectively communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to project managers, developers, and other stakeholders.
• Ensuring the team deliver the highest quality comprehensive testing, adhering to company and industry best practices.
• Driving continuous improvement. Identifying tools and other opportunities to improve and modernize the testing process, translating these into actionable proposals. 
• Maintaining a high proficiency in multiple testing technologies and disciplines.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of related experience
• Degree in Engineering / equivalent certifications
• Proven commercial experience in testing across multiple phases in an enterprise Agile environment.
• Proven commercial experience using Postman and Playwright.
• Demonstratable expertise in leading manual and automated testing using a variety of tools and approaches.
• Demonstrable expertise in leading Functional Testing, Performance Testing,
• Load Testing, Accessibility Testing, Penetration Testing, Security Testing and other appropriate test phases.
• A strong background in mentoring, coaching and leading testers at different of levels of experience.
• Demonstrable knowledge of industry best practices, test processes and methodologies and experience applying and enforcing these across multiple teams.
• Understanding and experience of adhering to third party standards in areas such as security and accessibility.
• Proven experience leading the successful delivery of secure, scalable, and reliable solutions.
