Senior Engineer/ Assistant Manager -Indirect Sourcing As a Senior Engineer/ Assistant Manager- Indirect Sourcing, You will report to Sourcing Manager Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Manage and execute the complete bidding process to ensure optimal and compliant procurement outcomes. Review and approve bidding results, contract sign‑off, conduct Business Code of Conduct assessments, and support onboarding of new suppliers. Coordinate with user departments and suppliers across all procurement stages, including delivery follow‑ups, payments, warranties, and contract terms. Supplier Management Maintain and update supplier information, ensuring accurate and timely records within the supplier information database. Evaluate current and potential suppliers for capability, performance, cost competitiveness, and compliance. Develop and nurture strong supplier relationships, ensure confidentiality, and influence suppliers to align with Atlas Copco quality and compliance standards. Drive supplier consolidation, market research, cost reduction initiatives, Strategic negotiation and resourcing activities all categories. Process Compliance & Improvement Maintain pocurement documentation and identify potential risks to ensure process integrity.Continuously improve procurement processes through training and optimization initiatives. Participate in internal & external audits, lead departmental self-assessments, and ensure full compliance with procurement policies and the Atlas Copco Business Code of Practice. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with all functions within Product Company Talegaon and relevant divisions to support business objectives.Drive Service Level Agreements (SLA) and commercial contracts for assigned commodities. To succeed, you will need Experience Requirements Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Civil or Electronic Engineer with 5–8 years of relevant experience in sourcing or procurement. Exposure to Instrumentation, Electrical commodity, High value Capex procurement, Plant Purchase, AMC, MRO, and transport agreements. Strong purchasing, negotiation, organizational, good communication, decision making, strong negotiator and administrative skills with a proactive, can‑do mindset. Experience in Indirect procurement exposure is an added advantage.Industry background in Compressors, Oil & Gas, Heavy Industry or Capital Goods is preferred. Knowledge & Skills Strong understanding of sourcing, supply chain processes, and procurement systems. Working knowledge of SAP and advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI). Additional knowledge in operations or supply chain will be an advantage. Excellent analytical abilities and strong negotiation skills.
