  The Senior Technologist, TD (Technology Deployment) will work with Product Development (PD) in global technology and customers in India Performance Units (PU) namely members of TD, Marketing, Supply Chain, Quality to deploy new products and geographic extensions in engine oil & driveline categories across the automotive space. The role holder is expected to have proficiency in lubricant formulation know-how, automotive product performance testing, develop & deploy products, whilst seeking
  to broaden their capability in other areas. They may be required to focus on a specific automotive mobility space to develop experience and expertise, but all role holders should expect to cover a wide range of product and application areas depending on priorities and demands.

  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Lead deployment activities and support launch of new products, new business opportunities (including technical input to tenders), resolution of customer issues.
• Develop technology pipelines for engine oil portfolios across various automotive segments. Provide input to new product development projects via stage and gate process, support proof of performance and customer approval tests.
• Use digital technology and simply process with digital for TD activities.
• Work closely with India technology laboratory for blending and testing of formulations, interpretation of data and delivery of reports.
• Working with test houses to develop claims and testimonials for performance testing of products.
• Identify and qualify suitable finished goods for purchase as required. Support resolution of local and global RM shortages.
• Support the technology head to deliver communications for NPIs using global materials, adapting where vital or crafting materials to meet local customers’ requirements.
• Develop training modules specific to India to deliver for internal & external customers.
• Maintain technical knowledge of products, applications, and competitor information as applicable in automotive spaces around bikes, cars, trucks, tractors & EV’s.
• Provide technical support for OEM & retail customers to solve issues.
• Strong experience in QMS. Provide resolutions for incidents working with cross-functional teams. Proven expertise in getting accreditation for organization. In-line with QA Manual; identify continuous improvement programs, standardize test methods and conduct quality assurance audits.

Education
Master or PhD or equivalent experience, in Chemistry, Engineering or related technical field.

Experience

• Demonstrated ability of 12-15 years experience in lubricants with experience in formulating and Deploying engine oil & drive line products in automotive space.
• Broad knowledge of Castrol’s products (as applicable to the role), their composition, manufacture and application.
• Good project management experience. Experience of working directly to resolve issues.
• Demonstrate a collaborative approach to working and networking with subject matter authorities and other functions.
• Proven strong interpersonal and communication skills, internally and externally with customers
• Safe and reliable HSSE operations in the laboratory and at the customer’s site.
• Proven experience in using digital solutions
• Experience for organization including audits, accreditation etc
• Proven fundamental skills in problem analysis, experiment design, data processing and reporting.
• Strong capabilities of international and interculture communication in written and oral practices.
