Project Role : Silicon Firmware & Embedded Engineer
Project Role Description : Write the software that powers and operates a silicon chip. Develop pre-silicon firmware and software with a direct interface to hardware. Integrate and develop C tests/APIs and software build flow. Perform design and code reviews. Test and validate product implementations.
Must have skills : Embedded C
Good to have skills : Embedded C++
Minimum 2 year(s) of experience is required
Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education

As a Silicon Firmware and Embedded Engineer, a typical day involves writing and developing software that controls and operates silicon chips. This role includes creating firmware before the silicon is finalized, working closely with hardware interfaces, and integrating various tests and application programming interfaces. The day also involves managing software build processes, conducting thorough design and code reviews, and performing rigorous testing and validation to ensure the product meets quality standards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to align software with hardware capabilities is an essential part of the daily workflow.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of firmware and silicon components.
- Maintain and improve existing firmware codebases to enhance performance and reliability.
- Document design decisions and test results to support knowledge sharing and future development.
- Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support in firmware development tasks.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Embedded C, Embedded C++.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Embedded C++.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture and real-time operating systems.
- Experience in developing and debugging firmware for silicon chips using low-level programming techniques.
- Familiarity with software build systems and version control tools.
- Ability to perform detailed code reviews and implement improvements based on feedback.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Embedded C.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
