The US Consumer Cards (USCC) – Digital Sales & Marketing Team is a specialized function dedicated to understanding, measuring, and improving the servicing and marketing experience across all digital platforms. We are a dynamic and data-driven team focused on accelerating digital growth, enhancing customer engagement, and driving operational efficiency. By leveraging cutting-edge analytics and Gen-AI, we identify and act on opportunities to increase digital marketing engagement and revenue. We foster a culture of continuous learning and rapid experimentation to deliver impactful digital experiences that resonate with our customers. Our mission is to leverage data and insights to make our digital platforms the preferred channels for our customers, ultimately driving revenue and efficiency.

Role Description:

The Specialized Analytics Sr Anlst will identify opportunities to leverage specialized knowledge in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data analysis to improve business outcomes, automate processes, and generate actionable insights. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization.

We are seeking an experienced analytics candidate who should be able to perform below behaviors in their day-to-day role:

• Create best in class solutions – Design and implement stable best in class solutions using the recommended tools. Prove and improve the performance of the solution.
• Communication skills – Ability to extract and understand business need from partners. Translate and articulate technical design and performance to a senior business audience
• Strategic acumen – Should possess ability to see the big picture of business, identify and understand emerging trends, challenge status quo and design goals for growth
• Statistical mind set – Proficiency in basic statistics, hypothesis testing, segmentation, and predictive modeling.
• Risk Assessment: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations

Few notables among the multiple areas that we work in –

• Drive Digital Marketing, Product Sales & Engagement by analyzing user behavior and campaign performance to identify new opportunities for engagement and revenue generation.
• Develop and execute sophisticated digital marketing strategies to significantly grow digital product sales and increase customer footfall and stickiness on our platforms.
• Lead the industrialization and enhancement of our "Test & Learn" capability, enabling the rapid design, execution, and measurement of experiments for new digital features and marketing campaigns.
• Use analytical intelligence to uncover deep insights that inform strategies for reducing our cost-to-serve and improving overall efficiency across the customer lifecycle.

Technical Skills:

• Hands-on Experience in Python, SQL & Machine Learning (ML) is a must. Experience with PySpark is preferred.
• Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code according to design specifications and coding standards.
• Knowledge of digital marketing and Credit Card business, and industry best practices is highly beneficial.
• Ability to guide and mentor the junior team members. Ability to build partnerships with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of relevant experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency in relevant data science libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Transformers.
• Must Have Other Skills: Strong Logical Reasoning Capabilities, Willingness to learn new skills, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to identify, clearly articulate and solve complex business problems and present them to the management in a structured and simpler form
• Hands-on experience working with large, complex, unstructured datasets, data warehouses and ability to pull data using relevant programs and coding
• Experience in working Credit Cards, Services, Banking & Markets Financial Services be nice to have
• Experience building GenAI solutions using LLMs and vector databases will be preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Big Data, Cloud, Spark, Hive.
• Credit card Business and P&L experience would be preferred.
• Knowledge of Adobe, Test & Learn and other web analytics tools.

Education:

• Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, or engineering. Master's degree preferred.
