Sr. Specialist - L&D Operations

Scope:

This role is responsible for enabling scalable, reliable, and business-aligned learning operations. The position partners with business units and learning stakeholders to identify capability needs, translate them into learning priorities, and support execution through platforms, analytics, automation, and infrastructure. The role also ensures learning sites, LMS processes, reporting assets, and training environments remain accurate, accessible, stable, and fit for purpose.

What You'll Do:

Learning Business Partnership & Strategy

• Partner with business units to assess capability gaps and understand skill-development priorities.

  
  

• Define and support learning strategies that align with business objectives, team priorities, and workforce capability needs.

  
  

• Translate stakeholder requirements into practical learning initiatives, delivery plans, platform actions, and measurable outcomes.

  
  

Platform & SharePoint Content Management

• Manage and maintain SharePoint sites, document libraries, permissions, and learning-team repositories.

  
  

• Maintain content structure, navigation, access governance, and learning resource availability across SharePoint environments.

  
  

• Support creation, update, and troubleshooting of digital learning pages, folders, libraries, and shared assets.

  
  

• Ensure content is organized, current, and easy for stakeholders, facilitators, and learners to access.

  
  

Learning Infrastructure Support

• Provision, configure, and manage virtual machines required for training programs.

  
  

• Ensure VM environments are updated, stable, accessible, and aligned with training requirements before delivery.

  
  

• Coordinate issue resolution for VM access, performance, environment readiness, and learner/facilitator support needs.

  
  

• Maintain readiness checks and environment-support documentation for recurring training programs.

  
  

Analytics, Dashboards & Reporting

• Perform analytics tasks for learning programs and the department, including dashboards, insights, and data extraction using Power BI.

  
  

• Build or maintain reports that show participation, completion, feedback, usage, trends, and learning-program effectiveness.

  
  

• Convert learning data into actionable insights for stakeholders, leadership updates, and operational reviews.

  
  

• Support data quality, reporting consistency, and recurring reporting cycles for learning teams.

  
  

Automation & Process Improvement

• Use Power Automate to simplify repetitive learning operations, notifications, approvals, data movement, and stakeholder communications.

  
  

• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes across learning delivery, reporting, reminders, and follow-ups.

  
  

• Document automation logic, dependencies, and handover steps to ensure continuity and supportability.

  
  

• Apply a continuous-improvement mindset to improve learner experience, facilitator support, and operational efficiency.

  
  

Learning Management System Operations

• Manage end-to-end Learning Management System operations, preferably in Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD).

  
  

• Support course setup, catalog maintenance, assignments, audience management, reporting, learner queries, and operational troubleshooting.

  
  

• Coordinate with platform owners, IT, vendors, and learning stakeholders to resolve LMS issues and improve platform usage.

  
  

• Maintain LMS process documentation, standard operating procedures, and data/reporting governance where applicable.

  
  

What We are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, learning, information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 8-12 years of Experience working in Learning & Development, learning technology operations, LMS administration, or learning-business-partner roles.
• Ability to assess capability gaps, translate business needs into learning plans, and manage multiple learning initiatives with stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience managing SharePoint sites, libraries, permissions, and structured learning content repositories.
• Experience provisioning or coordinating virtual machine environments for training programs, preferably using Azure or similar platforms.
• Strong Power BI and Excel skills for dashboards, insights, data extraction, and learning-program analytics.
• Practical experience with Power Automate or similar workflow automation tools.
• End-to-end LMS operations experience; Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD) experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a global, fast-paced environment and manage priorities with attention to detail.

Additional Skills:

• Experience supporting CSOD integrations, reporting, learning assignments, or platform enhancement initiatives.
• Exposure to Azure or cloud-based lab/training environments.
• Experience creating Power BI dashboards for learning, HR, operations, or business stakeholders.
• Experience building Power Automate flows for email communication, data updates, approval routing, or learning operations.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow requests, access support, incident handling, or learning platform support tickets.
