Job Description

The FinOps Analyst is responsible for measuring, analyzing, and communicating the financial and business value of technology and cloud investments.

This role plays a critical part in enabling data-driven decision-making, ensuring cost transparency, and supporting FinOps practices such as cost allocation, optimization, forecasting, and performance reporting across cloud environments.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

Good years of experience in FinOps or Cloud Financial Management across AWS, Azure, or GCP

Strong experience in financial analysis and reporting

Hands-on knowledge of cloud billing and cost structures

Experience with showback and chargeback models

Proficiency in managing Reserved Instances (RI) and Savings Plans

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, financial modeling, data analysis)

Strong data analysis capabilities and analytical thinking

Experience supporting forecasting and budgeting processes

Good understanding of cost allocation methodologies

Strong business acumen and ability to connect financial data to business outcomes

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

Experience with FinOps tools (e.g., Cloudability, Apptio, AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management)

Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

Familiarity with SQL, Python, or data querying tools

Understanding of unit economics and Technology Business Management (TBM) frameworks

Exposure to AI/ML cost tracking and optimization

FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) or equivalent certification

Experience in automation of reporting and dashboards

Basic understanding of cloud architecture and DevOps practices

Experience working with large-scale enterprise cloud environments
