ZAIN2401 - Systems and Network Administration Intern

We are looking for a fresh graduate to join the Engineering Department for a one-year internship contract under Zain Youth Program.

Job tasks and responsibilities:

• managing our critical telecommunications infrastructure, including 5G, 4G, 3G, 2G, Fiber Access Network (FTTX), IP and Transport Networks, and other related networks. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of networking technologies, protocols, and best practices, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation and performance of our systems.

  
  

• Delivering expert Systems Administration and support services tailored to the engineering, IT, call center, and help desk departments of Zain Jordan, ensuring seamless functionality and performance. Vigilantly monitoring and managing user activities within the system to uphold security and operational standards. Conducting routine health and performance evaluations to swiftly identify and rectify any system or network-related issues, thereby minimizing downtime.

  
  

• Facilitating system updates and configurations while prioritizing the implementation of robust business continuity and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard against potential risks.

  
  

• Implement security measures to protect network integrity and data confidentiality.

  
  

• Stay up to date on emerging technologies and industry trends.

  
  

• Provide technical support to internal users.

  
  

• Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure seamless network integration.

  
  

Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, network engineering, electrical/telecommunication engineering or any related field.
