The Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) is the leading unit of its type in Pakistan, recognized regionally and internationally for the relevance, quality, and extent of its work in support of public health and the development of primary health care systems. It comprises of five major operational sections: Epidemiology & biostatistics, Health policy & management, Population & reproductive health, Environmental health & climate change, and non-communicable diseases & mental health.


This is a grant funded contractual position.


Responsibilities:


You will be responsible to:


  • lead the overall planning, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of project activities and coordinate multidisciplinary research activities.
  • serve as the primary coordination focal point between investigators, research teams, government stakeholders, consortium partners, donors, and other collaborating institutions.
  • organize and facilitate stakeholder consultations, Technical Working Group (TWG) meetings, workshops, training sessions, dissemination events, and partner engagements
  • monitor project timelines, budgets, risks, and resource utilization while ensuring compliance with donor, institutional, financial, and regulatory requirements
  • lead the preparation and submission of technical reports, progress updates, presentations, meeting documentation, and other project-related deliverables
  • support the development and implementation of capacity-building initiatives, training programs, and knowledge-sharing activities for project stakeholders and partners.
  • maintain comprehensive project documentation, tracking systems, and communication channels to ensure effective project governance, transparency, and accountability
  • identify implementation challenges, propose corrective actions, and facilitate timely resolution of operational, technical, financial, and administrative issues
  • support the Principal Investigator and study team in overall project management activities. 

Requirements:


You should have:


  • master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Environmental Health, Health Policy, Development Studies, Project Management, Social Sciences, or a related field
  • minimum five years of progressively responsible experience managing research, public health, development, or donor-funded projects
  • demonstrated experience coordinating multidisciplinary research teams and managing complex project portfolios
  • experience working with government institutions, academic organizations, development partners, and international donors
  • sound knowledge of research governance processes, ethics review requirements, and project compliance mechanisms
  • strong project and programme management skills, including planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting
  • proven ability to build and manage stakeholder partnerships and foster effective collaboration across diverse organizations
  • experience in budget development, resource management, and financial oversight of projects
  • excellent research coordination, administration, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • strong communication, presentation, report-writing, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
