We are hiring a Senior Service Engineer to deliver A365 and AI Administration for the MSD M365 MultiTenant team. You will administer and define how we configure, govern, and operate the M365 admin surface and the AI admin surface, including Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio, across Microsoft's many internal tenants. You will partner closely with software engineers to drive the automation, Microsoft Graph based tooling, and policy as code that enforces baselines, detects configuration drift, and responds to admin and AI plane risks at fleet scale. The role interfaces across M365 workloads but stays focused on A365 and AI Admin capabilities. You will bring a security mindset to everything you operate, including admin permissions, data access boundaries, and audit telemetry as part of your daily ownership.

• You will administer A365 across multiple internal tenants, including tenant configuration, policy implementation, and day-to-day operation of the Microsoft 365 admin control plane.
• You will operate AI capabilities in Microsoft 365, including Microsoft 365 Copilot admin controls, Copilot Studio governance, agent and connector permissions, Graph-based data access boundaries, and AI usage and audit telemetry.
• You will contribute to defining and implementing operational baselines and policies, partnering with engineering teams to build automation, policy-as-code solutions, and drift detection mechanisms across environments.
• You will operate admin and AI surfaces, monitoring service health and risk signals, triaging incidents, and participating in on-call rotations to maintain service reliability and performance.
• You will collaborate with M365 workload teams, Copilot, and security partners to support changes required for admin and AI control planes and ensure alignment with multi-tenant governance and compliance requirements.
• You will apply sound engineering judgment in operational and design discussions, contribute to reviews, and continuously build expertise by working closely with senior engineers and team members.

Requried Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, or systems engineering
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in service engineering, including hands-on experience operating and supporting enterprise-scale cloud services or distributed systems, with exposure to managing live production environments.
• You have working familiarity with AI capabilities in Microsoft 365, such as Microsoft 365 Copilot admin controls, Copilot Studio, and Graph-based data access governance, or you bring transferable experience in learning and operating new SaaS admin surfaces.
• You apply a strong security mindset in your work, including understanding data access controls, least-privilege administration principles, audit requirements, and secure-by-default operational practices.
• You are comfortable reading and contributing to automation code, using technologies such as PowerShell, Python, C#, or TypeScript, and collaborating with software engineering teams to enhance automation solutions.
• You have experience supporting live service operations, including monitoring systems, participating in incident response, and contributing to improving reliability in environments with on-call expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Multitenant operations experience: enforcing baselines, detecting drift, and remediating across many M365 tenants.
• Experience governing Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio at scale: agent lifecycle, connector permissions, data access boundaries, and usage telemetry.
• Experience with Purview (DLP, retention, eDiscovery) where it intersects the admin surface.
• Experience with Geneva, IcM, Kusto, or comparable telemetry and live site tooling.
