Software Platform Engineer II

Application Development (.NET)

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using C#, .NET / .NET Core, ASP.NET Core.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Write clean, maintainable, and performant code following secure coding standards.
• Implement unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce best practices.

Azure Cloud Development

• Design and implement solutions using Microsoft Azure services, such as: 
  • Azure App Services
  • Azure Functions
  • Azure SQL / Azure Storage
  • Azure Service Bus / Event Grid (as applicable)
• Develop cloud‑native and scalable solutions following Azure best practices.
• Implement authentication and authorization using Azure AD / Managed Identities.
• Monitor and troubleshoot applications using Azure Monitor, Application Insights.

Architecture & Design

• Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions, especially for cloud migration or modernization initiatives.
• Apply microservices and modular architecture principles where applicable.
• Understand and implement resiliency, scalability, and performance patterns in Azure.

DevOps & Operations

• Work with Azure DevOps / GitHub for source control, work items, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support CI/CD automation, deployments, and environment configurations.
• Assist in production support, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Follow DevSecOps practices, including secure configuration and secrets management.

Collaboration & Agile Delivery

• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Architects, and Product Owners.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers as needed.
