Yard Management DevOps - Back-End (M/F/D)

End-to-End responsibility and accountability on building up a product that balances a good level of standardization and scalability with a reasonable level of customization.

Consultancy :

• Translates functional requirements into technical specifications
• Leverage the business/process knowledge in the teams and define the best technical design of new functionalities
• Drive for sustainable solutions
• Leverages the use of standard functionalities to reduce non-standard development
  

Development :

• Customize a third-party ABAP–based solution
• Develop new functionalities as add-ons for the Yard Management Standard Solution
• Handle the interfaces with central systems like SAP ERP, TM or EWM.
• Customization of SAP ERP, TM, eWM, etc.
• Handle global as well as site specific releases according to pre-defined release management processes (SOLMAN)
  

Quality assurance :

• Perform Unit testing to ensure a high quality of the code delivered
• Support PO’s with the functional testing and the UAT
• Automate regression tests
  

Collaboration :

• Leverage multicultural and geographically distributed team to build up the best solution
• Collaborate in a global team of technical and functional experts.
• Drive innovation on how to keep enhancing the product
• Active participation in designing a global yard logistics template for BASF
  

Required skills, knowledge and experiences

SAP :

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in working as ABAP developer or similar role.
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management (TM) – configuration, enhancement, and technical architecture.
• Strong ABAP development skills, including object-oriented ABAP (OO-ABAP), BAdIs, user exits, and enhancement framework.
• Hands-on experience with SAP integration technologies: IDocs, BAPIs, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and SAP Integration Suite (CPI/API Management).
• Excellent judgement. Able to weigh several and often conflicting constraints and make rapid, logical decisions in a fast-moving company.
  

SAP S/4 Hana :

• Previous experience in R/3 to S/4 migration projects
• Previous experience S/4 customization
  

Integrations :

• 5+ years of experience in system integrations with special attention to multi-ERP scenarios.
  

Learning :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, physics or related, from an accredited college or university
  

Soft skills :

• A growth mindset with a curiosity to learn and improve.
• Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills.
• Native Mandarin language knowledge
• Advanced English skills
  

Nice to have

SAP :

• Experience in SAP Fiori and/or SAPUI5 design/development
• Experience in SAP Cloud technology
• Knowledge of the SAP Fiori user experiences (UX) concept as well as SAP Fiori Client and Launchpad
• Experience in additional programming languages like Java is highly valuable.
  

Other technical skills :

• Experience with test automation
• Experience with Git versioning development model
• Knowledge of application lifecycle, change/release management process
  

Industry experience :

• Experience in logistics or chemical industry is a plus.
  

Other skills :

• Experience in running IT solutions as products
• Experience working in Agile environments within frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or extreme programming.
• Knowledge of core lean practices: Kaizen, 5 Why’s, Value Stream mapping.
• Knowledge of Jira/ MS Azure is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure on non-routine and highly complex tasks.
• Experience in working in global / virtual teams / projects
• Ability to work in a multicultural team spread across the globe.
