Build and Develop trade lane consolidations for South African export traffic. Engage with the Global DGF network to promote and develop the Gateway for neighboring countries and local coastal branches. Coordinate day to day operations within the Airfreight Gateway. Assist & support ACC Manager in rate & capacity procurement as required

In this Warehouse Assistant position

1. RECEIVING

• Offloads incoming material, Segregation, Palletization, In accordance with correct batch number & Expiry
• Inspects shipments for damages, Shortage, or defects, and notify the Supervisor of findings.
• Accurately receive Inbound based on RTS. Using RF device.
• Performs Put away for Inbounds once it's received and final put away upon final release.
• Responsible for proper usage & preventive maintenance of MHE's
• Updates promptly upon task completion & report issues to Team leader.
• Returns have to be verified and forward the details to CSR for documentation.

1. Material Handling

• Reads Shipment orders and verify the material matches the work order
• Notifies the Supervisor of problems with the orders
• Adjusts shipment orders as required when the material is short, expiry and batch variance according to the shipment order.
• Checks inventory to verify availability of needed stock, Maintain product stock in work area
• Performs Pallet Stretch wrapping, and other value added services.

1. Picking & Shipping

• Picks orders in accordance with the pick ticket, QC and pack shipments as per customer requirements.
• Packages and ships in accordance with packaging guidelines.(Temperature sensitive products)
• Ensures optimum truck space utilization in lieu with all safety measures.
• Checks with Team Leader for new tasks.

1. Packaging & Dispatch

• Prepares and pack orders for dispatch in accordance with the shipment order and customer Requirements
• Checks labels to verify the quantity is correct.
• Notifies the Supervisor of shortages
• Segregates orders based on delivery locations.
• Reads shipment orders and verify the material picked for packaging matches the Shipment Order.
• Notifies the Supervisor if any problems are encountered.
• Follows special instructions for temperature sensitive product packaging.
• Monitors packing material supplies and notify the Supervisor when materials get to the restocking point.
