We're Hiring | Consultant Pediatric Surgeon – Abu Dhabi, UAE 📍 Location: Abu Dhabi 💼 Employment Type: Full-Time We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Pediatric Surgeon to join a leading healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The successful candidate will provide specialized surgical care for infants, children, and adolescents, managing a wide range of congenital, acquired, and emergency surgical conditions with a patient-centered approach.
Key Responsibilities Diagnose and manage pediatric surgical conditions in newborns, infants, children, and adolescents.
Perform a wide range of pediatric surgical procedures, including: Congenital anomaly correction Neonatal surgery Pediatric abdominal surgery Hernia repair and abdominal wall procedures Appendectomy and bowel surgery Pediatric urological procedures (where credentialed) Minimally invasive/laparoscopic pediatric surgery Trauma and emergency pediatric surgical interventions Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and provide post-operative care.
Manage complex pediatric surgical cases in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Provide family counseling regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical procedures, and follow-up care.
Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, intensivists, radiologists, and other specialists.
Participate in pediatric surgical multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and clinical discussions.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with DOH regulations and hospital policies.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
Mentor junior surgeons, residents, and contribute to departmental education and service development.

Qualifications & Requirements MBBS/MD or equivalent medical qualification.
Board Certification, Fellowship, or equivalent recognized Consultant qualification in Pediatric Surgery .
Minimum 5–10 years of post-specialization experience at Consultant level.
Eligibility for or possession of a Department of Health (DOH) – Abu Dhabi Consultant license .
Extensive experience in pediatric and neonatal surgical procedures.
Strong clinical decision-making, surgical expertise, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
Excellent communication skills with children, families, and healthcare teams.
Commitment to delivering safe, evidence-based, patient-centered pediatric surgical care.
Preferred Candidate Profile Experience working in internationally accredited children’s hospitals or tertiary pediatric surgical centers.
Fellowship training or expertise in minimally invasive pediatric surgery, neonatal surgery, pediatric urology, or pediatric oncology surgery is an advantage.
UAE or GCC experience is preferred but not mandatory.
