Your role As a Medical Gas Installation Engineer at BeaconMedaes, your mission is to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant installation of medical gas pipeline systems across healthcare facilities. You will play a critical role in supporting patient safety by delivering high-quality installations that meet HTM 02-01 standards and exceed customer expectations. The role Install, test, and commission medical gas pipeline systems in hospitals and healthcare environments, including method statements, and risk assessments. Test and pre-commission installations in line with the pertaining industry standard. Carry out final connections of piped gas systems. Interpret and work from mechanical services drawings. Ensure all installations comply with relevant standards, including HTM 02-01 and ISO 7396-1. Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and hospital staff to ensure smooth project delivery. Maintain accurate documentation and installation records. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and subcontractors when required. Represent BeaconMedaes professionally on-site, maintaining strong customer relationships. To succeed, you will need Proven experience in medical gas pipeline installation or a similar mechanical engineering field. Valid MGPS Competent Person (CP) or Authorised Person (AP) certification (HTM 02-01). Strong understanding of HTM 02-01, ISO 7396-1, and other relevant standards. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel Nationally to various sites. CSCS card and relevant health & safety certifications (e.g., SSSTS, PASMA, IPAF) are advantageous.
