Job description

We're BlueCat—a Great Place to Work for good reason. Our team solves critical network challenges for some of the world's largest organizations. In simple terms, we manage the systems that keep networks running smoothly, securely, and reliably—the backbone infrastructure that powers digital transformation for enterprises globally. Our Intelligent Network Operations platform delivers and enables AI-driven agentic ops at scale, automating and simplifying how companies manage, secure, and optimize their networks.

But what makes us different is how we work: we believe great work happens in an environment where you're trusted, heard, and supported. With teams globally, we're building a workplace culture that values collaboration and integrity as much as innovation. If you're looking to advance your career with a company that invests in its people, this is it.
As a Financial Analyst at BlueCat, you will be a critical business partner to the Sales, Marketing, Professional Services, and Customer focused teams. Your role will involve providing key financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to help drive revenue growth, improve customer retention, and optimize the profitability of each function. You will support strategic decision-making through detailed financial models and insights tailored to the needs of each commercial function, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
•Commercial Spend Forecasting: Work with the Commercial team to forecast monthly, yearly, and long- term expenses including headcount, variable costs, and commissions. Create a strong foundation of partnership with business leaders to be the trusted associate for all expense related inquiries.
• Pricing Strategy & Analysis: Support the Sales and Marketing teams in evaluating and refining pricing strategies. Perform financial modeling to assess the impact of pricing changes on revenue and profitability.
• Sales Incentive Plan Analysis: Assist in the design, implementation, and analysis of sales compensation plans, ensuring they drive desired behaviors and align with financial goals. Monitor actual sales performance against incentive targets.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, financial reporting, or related roles. SaaS or tech industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Expertise in financial modeling, cash flow forecasting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with financial modeling.
• Familiarity with financial reporting tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and corporate finance concepts, particularly in cash flow management.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Metrics for Success:
• Accuracy of expense forecasts and alignment with Commercial team goals.
• Effective cost management and profitability analysis for Commercial teams
• Ability to provide actionable insights that lead to increased sales performance, optimized marketing spend, and improved customer retention rates.
This position offers a salary range of $75,000 - $85,000 CAD per year plus participation in a discretionary bonus plan. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and qualifications. The role is for an existing vacancy.
