The Technician - Foundation Solutions is responsible for the inspection, repair,



maintenance, and operational support of Truss Drivers and other Nextpower



installation equipment across Australian operations. The Truss Driver is a customised



automated drilling rig designed specifically for the installation of Nextpower foundation



systems.



The role applies mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, diagnostic, and quality-control skills



to assess equipment performance, complete preventive and corrective maintenance,



support field operations, and ensure all work is performed in accordance with



Nextpower's Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.



The role will receive in-house training from Nextpower subject matter experts, either



onshore or internationally, to build capability in Nextpower equipment, systems, and



field operating requirements.

• Inspect, repair, replace, reassemble, and test



broken, damaged, worn, or malfunctioning



components on Truss Drivers, installation equipment,



machinery, vehicles, and support equipment.



• Complete preventive, corrective, and unscheduled



maintenance, including routine cleaning, lubrication,



servicing, and operational checks.



• Undertake on-site metal fabrication, welding, and



associated repair activities as required.



• Diagnose faults and malfunctions using diagnostic



equipment, digital test equipment, calibration



devices, schematics, operating manuals, blueprints,



and technical drawings.



• Operate and test repaired equipment to verify repair



quality, equipment performance, and compliance



with manufacturer specifications.



• Provide technical support to customer mechanics,



field teams, and site operations as required.



• Accurately record maintenance and repair activity in



Nextpower's fleet management platform, MaintainX,



including equipment hours, issue details, parts used,



travel, and work completed.



• Support Machine Development, Product



Development, and Field Applications Engineering



teams by providing field feedback to inform product



and equipment improvements.



• Continuously develop technical capability, personal



skills, and knowledge of Nextpower equipment,



systems, and field operating requirements.

• Ensure assigned equipment, tools, vehicles, parts,



and company assets are accounted for, maintained,



and kept in good working order.



• Minimise the risk of property damage, loss, misuse,



or mistreatment of assets under the role's care.

collaboration, participation, sharing of ideas, and



application of relevant experience.



• Perform any other duties as reasonably required.



Experience, Qualities and Qualifications - Essential



Essential • Trade qualification required; Diesel Fitter qualification



preferred.



• Construction or jobsite experience, with experience in



heavy machinery or similar equipment; drill rig experience



is highly desirable.



• Demonstrated troubleshooting capability across hydraulics,



diesel engines, electrical systems, controls, encoders,



CANBUS, linear transducers, PLCs, or similar technologies.



• Experience with heavy equipment diagnostics, including



CAT, Cummins, or similar platforms.



• Welding and fabrication capability.



• Sound judgement, responsible decision-making,



professionalism, strong work ethic, and ability to work



independently without constant direction.



• Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and effective



verbal and written communication skills for both internal



and external audiences.



• Valid driver's license



• Current construction White Card.



Preferred



Preferred • Experience maintaining drilling rigs, automated installation



equipment, or specialised foundation installation



equipment.



• Experience supporting customer technicians, field service



teams, or remote project operations.



• Strong digital aptitude, including the ability to use digital



platforms to accurately capture maintenance, repair,



diagnostic, and asset information.



• Willingness to embrace usage and application of Ai



enhanced functionality within maintenance platforms to aid



in diagnostics and improved workflow.
