The Operational Readiness Manager is responsible for overseeing the control, inspection, readiness, and lifecycle management of foundation installation equipment, tooling, and critical spare parts across Australian operations. The role ensures that all fleet assets are maintained to operational, safety, and quality standards while supporting project mobilisation, leading workshop operations and improving equipment reliability.



This position acts as the operational gatekeeper for equipment entering and leaving company control, leading inspection processes, inventory accuracy, machine condition reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Acting as the operational lead for Nextpower’s digital fleet management platform – MaintainX. The position will ensure Nextpower’s equipment, assets, spare parts, labour scheduling, and utilisation data are effectively managed within the system. The role will drive disciplined use of MaintainX across relevant operational workflows, supporting improved asset visibility, maintenance planning, workforce coordination, reporting accuracy, and fleet readiness across Australian operations.

Supply Chain



·         Manage fulfillment of sales orders and associated logistics in cooperation with 3PL partners



·         Coordinate with the Senior Supply Chain Manager to maintain digital parts master data accuracy, currency, and alignment across CartonCloud, MaintainX, and NetSuite.



·         Assist Program Manager answer PJE and Ops enquiries on product validation, procurement and certification



Operational Readiness



·         Ensure all equipment complies with company, OEM, and regulatory safety standards prior to mobilisation.



·         Coordinate equipment validation, functional testing, and readiness assessments before project deployment.



·         Maintain detailed inspection, maintenance, and inventory records for audit and operational purposes.



·         Identify equipment defects, non-conformances, and reliability trends, driving corrective and preventative actions.



·         Lead workshop and co-ordinate with field teams to prioritise repairs, servicing, and asset availability.



·         Support procurement and lifecycle planning through asset condition analysis and utilisation reporting.



·         Lead and mentor inspection and inventory personnel, promoting high standards of safety, accountability, and operational discipline.



·         Drive continuous improvement initiatives across fleet processes, inventory systems, and equipment reliability performance.



·         Support engineering and product development teams by providing operational feedback on equipment performance and field issues.



 Digital Operations



  • Act as the MaintainX platform operational lead for Australian fleet operations, ensuring equipment, assets, parts, maintenance, labour scheduling, and utilisation data are accurately managed and consistently used to support fleet readiness, reporting, and operational decision-making.

 Business process management



  • · Support the establishment and continuous improvement of operational processes for customer support, parts support, transaction processing, equipment receival, inspection, upfit, pre-mobilisation validation, and delivery readiness.
  • · Work with operations, supply chain, logistics, engineering, workshop, and field teams to define repeatable workflows, ownership, system touchpoints, quality checks, and reporting requirements.
  • · Ensure operational processes support accurate parts and asset traceability, efficient transactioning, reliable equipment readiness, and consistent customer and project support outcomes.

Experience, Qualities and Qualifications - Essential

Essential



  • Strong experience with heavy equipment, construction machinery, or specialised foundation installation equipment.
  • Background in fleet operations, equipment inspection, maintenance coordination, or inventory management.
  • Understanding of workshop operations, QA/QC processes, and HSE compliance requirements.
  • Experience leading technical or operational teams in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Strong organisational, reporting, and stakeholder communication skills.
