VP, Sr Relationship Manager, FIG

The Senior Relationship Manager is an experienced coverage banker reporting to North China Bank coverage head under China FIG, responsible for managing and developing businesses with China Bank clients, overseeing the bank clients' comprehensive business, affiliates and global network needs.
Responsibilities:

• To manage client relationships and further develop businesses with designated Bank customers across a number of segments (state-owned, joint stock, city and rural commercial banks and the banks' affiliates) and to identify/develop new prospects
• To achieve revenue and business goals set by Global/Regional/China management for multiple product lines including Banking, Services, Markets and others.
• To work closely with various product partners from Services, Markets, IB, etc., and partners based not only in China mainland, but also other regions, hubs and locations to provide target market clients with comprehensive business coverage
• To pro-actively manage client portfolio assigned and to support others as required in leading as First Line of Defense role to demonstrate sound risk judgment, credit facility management skills, maintain sound portfolio credit quality through robust credit reviews and by working closely with other 1st Line of Defense and Risk partners
• To work closely with internal stakeholders such as Risk, Legal, Compliance, other 1st Line of Defense teams, and Operations to ensure regulatory requirements are strictly adhered to and proper controls in place for overseeing clients business dealings with Citi

Qualifications:

• Top educational background
• 8~10 years’ work experience at global / international financial institutions especially in business coverage roles
• Insightful understanding of China FI industry and banking industry dynamics. Correspondent banking and/or financial markets experiences and knowledge are highly preferred
• Familiar with foreign bank product lines especially FI product lines, including Financial Markets, Correspondent Banking, Custody, capital markets or other strategic advisory
• Sound credit risk & analytical mindset
• Quick learner, good interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Self-motivated and self-disciplined
• Proficiency in Chinese ( Mandarin ) and English
