As a Card Operations Specialist, you will support the day-to-day operations of our card issuing and processing activities, ensuring smooth transaction handling, timely issue resolution, and strong operational and reporting support across the team. Working closely with processors, card schemes, and internal stakeholders, you'll help keep our card operations running efficiently while contributing to continuous process improvement.


Responsibilities


  • Support day-to-day card operations, ensuring smooth processing of card-related activities
  • Monitor card transactions and operational queues, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Assist with card issuance, activation, replacement, blocking, and maintenance processes
  • Investigate transaction issues and coordinate resolution with internal teams and external partners
  • Work closely with processors, card schemes, and third-party service providers to resolve operational incidents
  • Support fraud investigations and operational requests related to card transactions
  • Maintain accurate operational records and documentation
  • Assist in preparing operational reports and performance metrics
  • Participate in testing new card features and operational processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of card operations procedures
  • Provide operational support and knowledge to Customer Support teams
  • Monitor and analyze product and operational KPIs, using data to identify opportunities for improvement and support product decisions
  • Prepare regular management reports, executive presentations, and business cases for senior leadership and key stakeholders

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • 1–2 years of experience in banking, fintech, payments, or card operations
  • Basic understanding of payment cards and card transaction processing
  • Familiarity with Visa, Mastercard, or other payment networks
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Team player with a proactive attitude

Nice to have


  • Experience with card management systems or payment processing platforms
  • Understanding of authorization, clearing, settlement, and chargeback processes
  • Experience working with card fraud monitoring
  • Experience supporting payment operations in a bank or fintech
  • Knowledge of mobile wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay)
  • Basic understanding of card scheme rules and operational procedures
  • Certification related to card payments or banking operations
  • Experience using AI-powered tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) to improve productivity, research, documentation, business analysis, and day-to-day work
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and management-level recommendations
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with experience preparing high-quality reports and executive presentations
