Today, we are recruiting for a Consortium EHS Manager to join our team in Egypt. Lead the implementation and monitoring of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements across the Egypt High Speed Rail Project, ensuring compliance with consortium procedures and project standards. Ensure compliance with legal, employer, lender, and international EHS requirements, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IFC standards. Support Siemens Mobility teams, consortium partners, contractors, and subcontractors in implementing EHS strategies, procedures, and safe systems of work. Drive hazard identification, risk assessments, Permit-to-Work (PTW) processes, and the control of high-risk construction activities. Monitor contractor EHS performance, including method statements, risk assessments, competency requirements, inspections, and training compliance. Lead incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Plan and oversee site inspections, internal audits, contractor audits, and ensure timely closure of non-conformities. Promote a strong safety culture through inductions, toolbox talks, STARRT briefings, and proactive EHS leadership. Support emergency preparedness, environmental compliance, and reporting related to waste management, dust, noise, and other environmental controls. Prepare EHS performance reports and dashboards while providing regular updates to project and consortium management. What do I need to qualify for this job? Bachelor's degree in Environment, Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline. Significant experience in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) management within large-scale construction, infrastructure, or railway projects. Strong knowledge of international EHS standards, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IFC Performance Standards, and OSHA requirements. Proven experience managing EHS activities across multiple contractors and multidisciplinary project environments. Experience with audit-intensive or lender-funded projects is considered an advantage. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence a positive safety culture. Experience conducting incident investigations, risk assessments, audits, inspections, and EHS performance reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and EHS reporting tools. Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic. What else do I need to know?
