Job Summary
The German University in Cairo is looking for Teaching Assistants who are passionate about dentistry to join the Faculty of Dentistry. As a Teaching Assistant, your main tasks will be working in laboratory/clinical students’ sessions, explaining scientific material in tutorials/laboratories/clinics besides other administrative tasks in one of the following departments:
1. Dental Biomaterial
2. Oral Biology
3. Fixed Prosthodontics
4. Removable Prosthodontics
5. General Medicine
Responsibilities:
1. Explaining the course material clearly to students during practical lab sessions, clinical sessions, and tutorials.
2. Helping students track their progress by overseeing their portfolios as a tutor.
3. Preparing the lab and clinical materials (like equipment, dental supplies, etc.) for classes under the guidance of the faculty.
4. Doing administrative work for the department, like quality checks and filing documents as needed.
5. Maintaining accurate patient records.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree, or Master’s degree in the relevant academic discipline
2. Previous experience in teaching and administrative work would be an asset
3. Excellent command of the English language
4. Excellent presentation and communication skills
