Role Objectives:


As a Junior Category Manager, you will support the Senior Category Manager in driving category growth, ensuring product availability, and assisting with pricing, promotions, and customer insights. This role focuses on learning the category management process while contributing to data-driven decisions and operational execution.


Roles & Responsibilities:


Category Support and Performance Monitoring:


  • Assist in monitoring category revenue, sales, and profitability.


  • Help track KPIs and prepare performance reports for the category.


  • Support analysis of sales trends and product performance to identify opportunities.


Customer Insights & Market Research:


  • Assist in gathering customer insights to understand preferences and behavior.


  • Conduct basic market research and competitor benchmarking to support category strategies.


  • Support in analyzing trends and recommending potential improvements.


Pricing and Promotion Assistance:


  • Assist in implementing pricing strategies and promotional activities.


  • Monitor the effectiveness of promotions and report results.


  • Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:


  • Coordinate with the supply and demand team to ensure stock availability.


  • Support marketing campaigns by providing category-related inputs.


  • Collaborate with the procurement team to address product issues or shortages.


Project and Operational Support:


  • Support in ad hoc projects and category initiatives.


  • Help maintain product documentation, product catalogs, and related databases.


Required Education, Knowledge, And Skills:


  • 1–2 years of experience in retail, FMCG, or commercial roles


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.


  • Google Workspace proficiency.


  • Good analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).


  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.


  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
