About the role:
The Merchandise Planner is responsible for determining the optimal product assortment, quantities, and pricing to maximize sales, maintain healthy stock levels, and achieve target profitability. The role analyzes sales, inventory, costs, and market trends to decide which products and designs should be launched, reordered, reduced, or discontinued, how much to buy, what the initial selling price should be, how stock should be allocated across
stores and e-commerce, and when markdowns or clearance actions should be initiated. The Merchandise Planner works at the SKU level and is accountable for inventory productivity, including sell-through, stock turn, stock availability, overstock reduction, and gross margin optimization.
