• Oversee the operating systems (such as Windows Server, Linux) and virtualization platforms (such as VMware, Hyper-V) that support on-premises applications and services.
• Ensure system stability, security patching, and resource allocation.
• Monitors system performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues to prevent service interruptions.
• Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Implement and maintain security configurations, adhering to company’s security policies and industry best practices.
• Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operation and integration of systems.
• Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects, including system upgrades and migrations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT personnel as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Your profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant technical certification is an asset.
• 3+ years' experience with various operating systems, networking fundamentals and server hardware is crucial.
• Strong understanding of virtualization technologies.
• Experience with scripting languages for automation is a plus.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools.
• Excellent verbal and written English language.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to diagnose complex technical issues quickly and implement effective, lasting solutions.
