Responsibilities Contribute hands-on to software development for industrial safety-critical products, with a strong focus on architecture, implementation, code reviews, and technical problem solving. Lead requirements decomposition, system architecture, software design, implementation, integration, and verification activities throughout the product lifecycle. Drive technical discussions and trade-off decisions while balancing safety, security, quality, performance, maintainability, and delivery goals. Own software throughout its lifecycle, from implementation and release through sustaining engineering, defect investigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with other departments to translate customer and business needs into robust embedded software solutions Mentor and support engineers through design reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing. Continuously improve development practices, architectures, tools, and product quality across the organization. Qualifications Several years of professional experience developing embedded software in C/C++. Experience with microcontroller-based systems Solid understanding of low-level embedded concepts, including basic communication protocols, watchdogs, memory architectures, and hardware interaction. Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to software quality through clean coding practices and comprehensive testing. Experience with scripting languages to support development, testing, or automation. Ability to read and interpret hardware documentation, including datasheets Experience with functional safety standards, such as IEC 61508 and Safety Integrity Levels (SIL). Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively across engineering disciplines. Good communication skills and fluency in English Nice to Have Understanding of electronic circuits, schematics, and PCB layouts. Experience supporting functional safety assessments, certification, or approval processes. Familiarity with industrial communication networks and protocols, such as EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET.
