Job Summary:The Payroll Tax Analyst will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll tax compliance within the Shared Services team for the Safety Services segment. This role requires a detail-oriented and highly organized individual with extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations. The Payroll Tax Specialist will ensure accurate and timely payroll tax filings, resolve tax-related issues, and support the overall payroll process.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.



  • Prepare and file payroll tax returns, including quarterly and annual filings.



  • Reconcile payroll tax accounts and resolve discrepancies.



  • Respond to and resolve payroll tax inquiries from government agencies.



  • Maintain accurate records of payroll tax transactions and documentation.



  • Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.



  • Stayup-to-datewith changes in payroll tax laws and regulations.



  • Assist with payroll tax audits and provide necessary documentation and support.



  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll tax compliance and efficiency.



  • Reconcile transactional tax information between payroll systems 



Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll tax compliance.



  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.



  • Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.



  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.




  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.



  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.



  • Experience in a shared services environment.



  • Knowledge of payroll tax implications for multi-state employers.
