Position Overview You'll support our customers in developing and enhancing complex computer-aided engineering design and manufacturing processes. In this role, you'll work with CAD tools and scripting to bridge the gap between our software solutions and customer needs. You'll provide technical guidance, manage data exchange across engineering systems, and collaborate with both internal teams and external teams to deliver impactful solutions. Key Responsibilities Provide frontline technical support for EDA software/tools, resolving customer queries. Develop and execute scripts in Python, TCL, and Shell to automate testing, debugging, flow orchestration and workflow optimizations. Diagnose and replicate issues on Linux-based systems, leveraging deep knowledge of Linux environments for root-cause analysis. Collaborate with engineering teams to escalate complex problems from our software Document solutions, create knowledge base articles, and contribute to customer training materials. Monitor support metrics and drive continuous improvement in response times and resolution rates. Required Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and communication, Computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 2+ years of experience in the EDA industry, with hands-on exposure to tools like Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens (Mentor Graphics). Proficiency in scripting with Python, TCL, and Shell for automation and data processing. Strong Linux knowledge, including command-line proficiency, system administration, and troubleshooting. Solid electronics background, including understanding of digital/analog design, VLSI, Embedded, Emulation concepts. Proven customer support experience, with excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset. Certification in Linux (e.g., RHCSA) or relevant EDA tools or VLSI course. Preferred Qualifications Direct experience with Siemens Altair Accelerator and/or Flowtracer (or competitive workload managers such as IBM Spectrum LSF or Grid Engine). and-route, GDS). Understanding of AI/ML applications in chip design including ML-driven optimization, design space exploration, and intelligent job scheduling.
