Your new role
As Associate Director in Clinical Data Management & Programming (CDMP) ClinPharm, you will provide tactical leadership of a department, setting direction across strategy, delivery, people and cross-functional collaboration. You will translate CDMP strategy into operational reality – ensuring high-quality deliverables, engaged teams and strong partnerships across R&D.


Day-to-day, your responsibilities will include:


  • Implementing CDMP strategy for your therapeutic area(s) or portfolio, promoting innovative clinical data science methods and ensuring data management perspectives inform clinical development decisions and governance
  • Translating business priorities into operational plans and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of CDMP outputs in full compliance with regulatory, GCP and company standards
  • Leading, coaching and developing individual contributors – owning hiring, performance management and workforce planning to build inclusive, high-performing and engaged teams
  • Supporting clinical pharmacology/phase1 and NIS/DAS trial activities in close collaboration with stakeholders across Clinical Data Management & Programming, Clinical Pharmacology, Biostatistics, Clinical Operations, Trial Operations and Clinical Reporting
  • Planning and managing your department's budget and resource allocation, coordinating resource brokering across projects, departments and regions with an enterprise mindset
  • Driving systematic, measurable continuous improvement across processes, systems and quality standards, and championing the adoption of novel methods and best practices

This position is based in Bangalore, India, with a hybrid working model of three days per week in the office.

As Associate Director based in Bangalore, you will play a defining role in shaping how we work, how we lead, and how we deliver across geographies.


Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for an experienced leader who combines scientific depth with strong people leadership and the ability to navigate a complex, global stakeholder landscape. You will bring with you:


  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life sciences or equivalent qualification, together with leadership training and in-depth knowledge of the clinical data management, drug development, including GxP and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience and at least 3 years' experience in project management or line-of-business leadership, including supervision and mentoring of staff
  • Extensive experience within drug development, including the process of drug applications with health authorities, and a profound understanding of GxP and relevant guidelines preferably from an international pharmaceutical setting
  • Proven experience collaborating across professional and regional borders in international, diverse professional groups – with the interpersonal insight and cultural awareness to lead virtually and inclusively
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to provide substantial, qualified challenge to clinical development issues and influence senior stakeholders through valid arguments and facts
  • A proactive, solution-oriented and adaptable mindset – organised, systematic and able to prioritise numerous tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
