Job Summary:**
The Automation Jr. Engineer at Jabil, Inc. will support the design, development, and implementation of automated manufacturing systems. This role involves assisting senior engineers in optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the reliability of automation solutions.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Assist in the design, development, and testing of automation solutions, including robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and vision systems.
* Support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automated equipment and systems on the production floor.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, quality, maintenance) to identify automation opportunities and resolve technical issues.
* Participate in troubleshooting and debugging automation programs and hardware failures.
* Document automation processes, schematics, and code according to established standards.
* Conduct basic data analysis to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards in automation development and deployment.
* Stay updated on new automation technologies and industry best practices.
Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
* Strong foundational understanding of automation principles, control systems, and industrial electronics.
* Basic proficiency in programming languages such as Ladder Logic (PLC), Python, C++, or similar.
* Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly.
* Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and adapting to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Prior internship or project experience in automation or robotics is desirable.
