Key Responsibilities
  • Validate Onboard Chargers (OBC), DC-DC Converters, and vehicle-level power electronic systems against specifications, DFMEA, automotive standards, and validation requirements.
  • Perform hardware testing and validation at component, subsystem, and system levels, with strong understanding of power electronic circuits and components such as MOSFETs, IGBTs, MOVs, GDTs, filters, diodes, and capacitors.
  • Analyze CAN data, identify issues, and support troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities.
  • Prepare Design Verification Plans (DVPs) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define validation strategies and test requirements.
  • Develop and automate test setups, execute validation tests, generate reports, and ensure timely closure of validation activities.
  • Work closely with design teams, suppliers, and external test laboratories to plan, track, and deliver validation milestones.
  • Conduct EMI/EMC testing and validation for power electronic products including OBCs, DC-DC converters, and related vehicle systems.
  • Utilize validation and diagnostic tools such as CAN Analyzer, PCAN, Busmaster, CRO, Power Analyzer, Electronic Loads, Dataloggers, and Energy Meters.
  • Support homologation and certification activities while driving quality improvements through DFMEA, 8D, Why-Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, and other problem-solving methodologies.
Job Requirements
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in hardware testing and validation of Power Electronics products, preferably Battery Chargers and DC-DC Converters.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
  • Hands-on experience with CAN communication, CAN data analysis, and validation tools.
  • Good understanding of EMI/EMC testing requirements and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in root cause analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
