This role combines hands on BMS pre sales engineering with delivery leadership and stakeholder coordination. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Perform preliminary and detailed pre sales engineering for Building Management Systems (BMS) tenders. • Analyse tender documents to identify HVAC equipment, field devices, and system scope. • Review sequences of operation and validate I/O summaries and technical specifications. • Generate RFIs, equipment summaries, data point schedules, and bills of materials (BOM). • Perform sizing and selection of sensors, motorized control valves, dampers, actuators, meters, controllers, interfaces, and licenses. • Design BMS network architectures and produce compliance statements. • Develop accurate cost estimates and collate pricing data for tender submissions. • Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for global (onshore) pre sales and sales stakeholders. • Own work intake, prioritization, and delivery commitments for offshore pre sales activities. • Ensure consistent quality, standardization, and adherence to defined processes. • Proactively identify delivery risks, capacity constraints, and dependency issues and escalate early. • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to pre sales engineers to improve capability and productivity. • Drive continuous improvement in tools, templates, and ways of working. ________________________________________ Required Skills & Experience Must Have • 10+ years of experience in BMS / Building Automation pre sales engineering • Strong knowledge of: o Datacentre design o Basic instrumentation and control loops o Open protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, M Bus, KNX • Proven experience interpreting tender documents, BOQs, and technical specifications • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience working across time zones • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Visio, Bluebeam, and floor plan tools Added Advantage • Experience acting as a technical focal point or lead within a pre sales or engineering function • Knowledge of Revit / BIM • Understanding of IT networking, metering, cybersecurity, and industry compliance standards This job is based out in Chennai.
