We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in APAC at Mumbai, India.



Job Purpose:



We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contract Specialist to manage low-to-medium value contracts across the APAC region. The role is responsible for end-to-end contract lifecycle management, including renewals, vendor engagement, bidding processes, negotiations, and collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Procurement, Legal, and Global Governance.



Your tasks:



Contract Management & Ownership



  • Take full ownership of existing contracts and associated catalogues within the APAC region.
  • Act as the single point of contact for all contract-related queries and vendor management activities.
  • Maintain contract repository, ensure compliance, and track key contract milestones.

Renewals & Spend Analysis



  • Monitor upcoming contract renewals and proactively review spend patterns.
  • Conduct spend analysis and consolidation to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Recommend renewal, renegotiation, or termination based on business needs and cost efficiency.

Stakeholder Coordination



  • Collaborate closely with Buyers and End Users to determine contract renewal requirements.
  • Align procurement strategies with business needs and timelines.
  • Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on contract status and risks.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills to confidently address queries and explain procurement decisions with clarity

Contract Extensions & Creation



  • Manage contract extensions, ensuring timely execution and compliance.
  • Handle ad-hoc and new contract creation requests from initiation to execution.
  • Ensure all contractual documentation is accurate and aligned with company standards.

Governance & Legal Coordination



  • Work closely with Global Governance and Legal teams for contract drafting, review, and execution.
  • Ensure all contractual terms comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Vendor Management



  • Serve as the primary owner for managing contracted vendors.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to drive performance and value.
  • Address vendor issues, escalations, and performance concerns.

Sourcing & Bidding



  • Initiate and manage bidding processes for new and renewal contracts.
  • Run tenders and evaluate supplier proposals based on commercial and technical criteria.
  • Ability to synthesize complex bid data into clear, concise summaries that highlight key commercial insights and risks
  • Capability to structure and present a compelling bid narrative that supports effective and timely decision-making.
  • Ensure transparency and fairness in procurement processes.

Negotiation



  • Lead negotiations on commercial terms, legal clauses, and company policies.
  • Achieve cost savings while ensuring risk mitigation and compliance.

Procurement Support



  • Support Buyers on critical sourcing initiatives and projects.
  • Handle Purchase Requisition (PR) processing by running tenders and facilitating approvals.
  • Ensure PRs are routed and approved in accordance with procurement policies.

Your profile:



  • Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management (CLM).
  • Strong understanding of Legal clauses and ability to negotiate.
  • Experience in sourcing, bidding, and vendor negotiations.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to analyse spend data and identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and coordination across cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in procurement tools (Oracle, Coupa, or similar is a plus).

Experience Level:



  • 3–6 years of experience in contract management, procurement, or sourcing.
  • Experience managing low-to-medium value contracts in a global or regional setup (APAC preferred).

Education Level:



Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business administration, Supply Chain, Law.
