This pivotal position is key to offering technological leadership, expertise, and continuous support throughout the complete cycle, which includes Create, Sustain, and Evolve. Our focus areas include CS Core, PS Core, IMS, IP Core, and Cloud. This role plays an integral part in Managed Services deliveries, reflecting the standards set by the Ericsson Operations Engine.

What you will do:



  • Provide global Cloud & IP domain expertise and technical authority support towards MS operations, domain support and automated operations teams.
  • Develop, validate and maintain solutions based on automation use case candidates for Cloud & IP domains (self-driven / federated automation).
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues in Cloud & IP automation components, data pipelines and domain configurations.
  • Improve and drive recovery processes and advanced troubleshooting practices for Cloud & IP services.
  • Develop, maintain and improve automated Service Delivery methodologies and best practices for Cloud & IP domains.
  • Perform trend and KPI analysis to proactively detect potential failures, degradations and systemic issues.
  • Contribute to standardization of ways of working, technical methods and reference architecture across markets/contracts in CLOUD & IP.
  • Initiate and support problem management for recurring and high-impact CLOUD & IP issues, ensuring robust RCA and action plans.
  • Initiate and manage 3rd level functional escalations towards internal R&D or external vendors for CLOUD & IP products.
  • Interact with suppliers and partners on complex CLOUD & IP issues, ensuring efficient collaboration and follow-up.
  • Support KPI formulae analysis, degradation investigation and troubleshooting for CLOUD & IP performance indicators.

Qualification and Industry Experience:



  • 18+ years industry experience in telecommunications / IT, with significant focus on CLOUD & IP domains
  • Proven expertise in operation and troubleshooting of multi-vendor CLOUD & IP environments (physical, virtualized and cloud-native).
  • Experience working in multi-customer and/or global delivery environments.
  • Strong experience on OpenStack/OpenShift cloud platform and services.
  • Hands-on usage of Virtualization Technologies from KVM, VMware, Microsoft, Cisco, HP, Red Hat or IBM (at least one vendor), OpenStack (Fusion Sphere)
  • Hands-on knowledge of Storage solutions SAN/NAS.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to apply them during business impacting incidents.
  • Experience with diverse hardware platforms (Huawei, HP, Cisco, Dell, etc.). Specially Blade systems.
  • Strong Knowledge of Operating System – RHEL, SUSE, CentOS etc. (At least one of them) and Security (SELINUX).
  • Good working knowledge of Relational Databases (MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Good knowledge and experience on virtual networking, virtual switches (openvSwitch) and SDN- North bound (REST http API), south bound interfaces (OpenFlow), SR-IOV and DPDK.

Certifications and Training:



  • ETCP Associate- Primary Eligibility & ETCP expert/equivalent is preferred
  • Relevant vendor or industry certifications in CLOUD & IP / Core / Cloud domains (e.g. 4G/5G Core, PCC, Charging).
  • Training/experience in automation, scripting, data analytics or AIOps is a strong advantage.
