General Summary:



Provides process, analysis, support, transparency, and insight on product development in order to maintain a steady stream of deliverables. Manages and tracks operational and headcount budgets. Works cross functionally with various teams (i.e., finance, engineering, program management) to forecast and set budgets for programs and meet customer demands on support and tools. Partners with the business, third party vendors, and the broader functional teams to plan and operationalize to help execute overall strategy.




Minimum Qualifications:



• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or related field.
OR
Associate's degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant work experience.

The Engineering Operations Manager provides day-to-day operational support for hiring, headcount planning, project scoping, and team operations. This role works closely with Engineering Managers, Talent Acquisition, Program Managers, and Operations teams to help maintain accurate data, coordinate processes, track actions, and support organizational planning activities.



Key Responsibilities



Hiring & Headcount Support



  • Support hiring activities, including new requisitions, backfills, and attrition tracking.
  • Attend hiring meetings and track hiring-related action items.
  • Assist with intern, new graduate, and contingent workforce (CWF) .
  • Prepare and maintain headcount, hiring, and workforce reports.
  • Process department and cost center assignments and organizational changes.

Project Scoping & NRE Coordination



  • Support tracking and management of Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) estimated for the CPU projects.
  • Act as a point of contact for NRE-related questions and follow up with engineering leads for updates.
  • Assist in negotiating NRE estimates and project scope by gathering supporting data, benchmarking similar projects, and facilitating discussions between stakeholders.
  • Attend NRE review meetings and document action items.
  • Collect information and Maintain NRE data and documentation in project tracking tools.
  • Assist in preparing NRE comparisons and justifications for leadership reviews.

Resource Planning Support



  • Assist with maintaining Level of Effort (LOE) models and resource planning data.
  • Provide backup support for Tempus-related activities.
  • Update workload, capacity, and resource tracking reports.
  • Support managers with headcount planning and allocation data.

Operations & Team Support



  • Serve as a point of contact for QTime-related requests and questions.
  • Support team operational activities, including:
    • Space and seating coordination
    • Team event and social budget tracking
    • Travel coordination support
    • General operations 
  • Track and follow up on action items from operational reviews and meetings.
  • Support additional projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.

Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 0–3 years of experience in operations, project coordination, program support, or a related role.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, reports, and data tracking tools.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through on action items.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams is a plus.
