Terex India provides a hub of critical skills for various Terex Businesses including Environmental Services, Specialty Vehicles and Materials Processing and Corporate Services.   This includes expert services in Engineering, IT, manufacturing and commercial services.


A core part of the Terex strategy is to grow business in the India region, and also to have critical shared service expertise located centrally in India, aligned across the business and able to seamlessly flex and support the needs of our businesses and key functions.


It is anticipated that the team will double in size (due to both insourcing key services and growth of current business).


About the Position:

Position Overview


The Director of Shared Services will be responsible for ensuring that the Shared Services hub becomes a core Center of Excellence for Terex, delivering scalable, cost-effective, high- quality, flexible, responsive shared services. The team must closely collaborate with the functions and services they serve. This role is accountable for strategy, operational excellence, talent leadership and ensuring alignment with Terex priorities.


To be successful Director of Shared Services must ensure the current team continues to deliver to the current high standards, creates a plan on how to deliver to meet the needs of the Terex Strategic plans, support the core India leadership team to execute on the plan, and keep key stakeholders informed of progress.  


This role must also ensure alignment with the businesses & functions located in India but sitting outside the shared service hub.


Responsibilities


  • Define and execute the Shared Services strategy aligned to business priorities
  • Ensure the Shared Services teams see themselves and sell themselves as strategic enablers versus simply being a cost center.
  • Identify opportunities to scale capabilities in Digital, Engineering, Analytics etc.
  • Lead alignment, standardization, continuous improvement and reporting excellence initiatives.
  • Provide leadership to functional heads in IT, Engineering and HR.
  • Ensuring alignment across functions and with Corporate functions and businesses, quickly identifying potential issues, unnecessary complexities, and eliminating them.
  • Establish strong governance and performance metrics, and ensure the shared service is easy and simple to do business with from a customer perspective.
  • Ensure constant deliver of best-in-class services, using best-in-class processes, tools and service management frameworks.
  • Optimize cost structures.
  • Lead vendor management, outsourcing relationships and local technology partners.
  • Partner with wider IT leadership on systems, automation and digital transformation activities.
  • Enable scalable platforms (HRIS, Service Now etc)
  • Drive adoption of automation & AI to increase productivity.
  • Develop a high performing team with excellent leadership and succession.
  • Ensure the culture values transparency, high performance, accountability, responsiveness and communication excellence
  • Act as primary interface with global leadership teams.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations(India), global policies, establishing strong risk management and controls, and maintaining data security and privacy

Qualifications & Experience


Required


  • 15–20+ years of experience in Shared Services / GBS / Global Operations leadership
  • Proven leadership of large, multi-functional teams (300+ employees)
  • Experience managing IT, HR and/or Engineering services in a global environment
  • Strong track record in scaling offshore/global capability centers (preferably India-based)
  • Demonstrated success in transformation, automation, and operational excellence
