Job description
Key Responsibilities • Design and develop high-complexity, multi-layer PCB layouts for medical imaging, diagnostic, and healthcare systems. • Perform component placement, high-speed routing, impedance control, and stack-up definition for analog, digital, and mixed-signal designs. • Translate schematics into manufacturable PCB layouts with high accuracy and reliability. • Ensure compliance with medical industry standards and IPC guidelines • Apply DFM/DFT principles to meet strict production and reliability requirements. • Collaborate with hardware engineers, PCB librarians, SI/PI engineers, and manufacturing teams. • Conduct design reviews, signal integrity analysis, and layout verification. • Generate fabrication and assembly outputs (Gerber, ODB++, BOM). • Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to resolve design issues. • Ensure traceability, documentation, and design control compliance • Work closely with other location counterparts to achieve the business goals. • Involve in localization activities for PCB and interacting with internal SCM team. • Lead the development, standardization, and maintenance of enterprise-wide PCB component libraries, including schematic symbols, footprints, and Siemens EDA(Xpedition & PADS) . • Mentored junior librarians and design engineers, providing training on best practices, tools, and standards for library management and build local competency. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize workflows and reducing library creation turnaround time while maintaining high accuracy. • Drive library quality assurance processes, including audits, peer reviews, and automated validation checks to eliminate design errors and reduce rework. • Collaborate closely with hardware design, PCB layout, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to support component selection, DFM/DFT compliance, and design optimization. Required skills to have for the success of this role • 8+ years of experience in PCB design • You have a master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics/mechanical engineering or a comparable subject • You have very good experience in project work, experience in leading projects, also in an international environment, is an advantage. • Strong experience in multilayer PCB design (6–20+ layers preferred). • Expertise in EDA tools: Siemens EDA (Xpedition & PADS) • Understanding SI/PI, EMI/EMC, high-speed design (DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, USB). • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes. • High ownership mindset, self-sufficient, high autonomy and collaboration skills. • Create structures and maintain quality process for the PCB designer role. • Experience in cross-disciplinary task processing • Knowledge of Healthineers products/ processes
