What you’ll do:

"We are seeking a motivated individual with strong skills in plastic and Sheet metal modeling and detailed drawing for the product development. The candidate will be working with a team of mechanical engineers towards design and development of global electronic instrumentation products. Candidate will be responsible for Concept development, perform DFM, design reviews, develop prototype and update project progress periodically. Success in this position requires effective collaboration, a strong drive to achieve project objectives, and the ability to learn new techniques, tools, and processes for the product development cycle.



Key Requirements: 
* Leading a project from initial requirements through to design, development and release.
* Provide technical leadership within the team and interface with Leadership team to provide Project progress till completion of the project.
* Design and develop various products to meet customer requirements, cost targets, and market-related technology.
* Experience in Research/NPI/Sustaining projects.
* Complete system/component sizing, designing, simulation, and testing validation to industrialization.
* Design parts and products considering design for manufacturing and assembly, applying thorough understanding and experience of plastic injection molding, sheet metal, casting, machining processes, and tooling considerations.
* Conduct engineering simulations like structural, thermal, fluid, or electromagnetic analysis to virtually test and optimize product designs.
* Take technical ownership of subsystems or modules of the project, ensuring product compliance with global standards or other relevant compliance standards.
* Modify existing products to support customer, manufacturing, regulatory, and market requirements through the Change Management process."



"• Expertise in plastic and sheet metal part design, mechanism design, and system integration.
• Knowledge and experience with plastic materials, their properties, and requirements.
• Creates CAD models, including part and assembly drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs) to support manufacturing, testing and assembly.
• Proficiency in Ansys software to perform engineering simulations.
• Experience with various manufacturing processes for contacts and plastic materials (bending, riveting, welding, brazing, injection molding).
• Review reliability predictions, and be conversant with Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and structural/thermal/CFD/MBD results.
• Complete detailed design (2D drawings/3D models) in SolidWorks
• Will anticipate areas such as thermal loading, mechanical stress, and vibration resonances in a design
• Knowledge of PLM systems (Enovia, SAP) is desirable.
• Should have an innovative mindset with a proven track record of innovation and product launches.
• Work with other functional teams such as Certification, Manufacturing & Process teams on early track to synchronize product development."



Qualifications:

BE / M.tech - Mechanical Engineering
5 to 8 years of experience



Skills:

"• Experience in NTI/NPI/Sustaining projects for industrial products 
• In-depth knowledge of injection molding, sheet metal, material selection, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in Ansys software to perform engineering simulations.
• Experience in deploying DFSS tools for robust design.
• Extensive experience with product design, sustenance, cost reduction, and agile methodologies."
