Summary:


Pentair is currently seeking a Research and Development Scientist to join our Treatment Center of Excellence Department. The role involves supporting engineering evaluations and feasibility studies for water disinfection projects, filtration, media optimization and sensor development. The candidate will analyze data to identify potential issues or improvements and stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in water treatment technology. The candidate will conduct performance tests on products and prototypes using test stands and analytical instrumentation according to work instructions or experimental plans. Key Responsibilities:


  • Support R&D in electrochemical processes, testing and validation
  • Develop and test prototypes for membranes, carbon media, and solid state sensors
  • Utilize techniques like cyclic voltammetry, potentiostatic, galvanostatic, and impedance spectroscopy
  • Analyze and solve complex chemistry challenges
  • Expertise in AAS, GC-MS, TGA, DSC, chromatography and spectrophotometry techniques
  • Stay updated on trends in water treatment processes
  • Manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders
  • Ensure accuracy in design calculations, cost estimates, and documentation
  • Maintain project documentation and laboratory inventory
  • Ensure safety compliance and commit to continuous learning

Educational Qualification: 


  • Post Graduation (Analytical Electrochemistry/Chemistry), B.Tech/M.Tech.(Chemical, Materials Science & Engg, Environmental engg, Nanotechnology)
  • Two years of experience in RnD electro chemical process development
  • Experience preferred in water Sensor’s development, Activated Carbon evaluation
  • Specific Skills: MS office, Mass and energy balance calculation etc
  • Proficiency with AI tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in statistical data analysis
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and standards
  • Excellent organizational and inventory management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Excellent communication skills,
  • Critical Thinking, Adaptive and Innovative.
