Function/Department: Technology

Experience: 10–14 Years

Location: Hyderabad

Role Overview

Position Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable full stack web applications. This role operates at a 70% technical / 30% management split – the ideal candidate remains deeply embedded in architecture and engineering decisions while building and guiding a high-performing team. You will bring strong expertise in Node.js, modern front-end frameworks, and cloud-native platforms, paired with the ability to lead with clarity, ownership, and purpose.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end architecture and development of scalable full stack web applications, from requirements gathering to production deployment

  • Actively contribute to critical modules, core services, and system design – hands-on engineering is a core expectation of this role

  • Define and enforce engineering standards: coding conventions, design patterns, security baselines, and performance benchmarks

  • Design and govern RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and microservices architecture across distributed systems

  • Drive performance optimization, scalability planning, and production reliability

  • Lead technical discovery and solutioning for new features, integrations, and platform migrations

  • Own CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in collaboration with the DevOps team

  • Conduct deep-dive code reviews and architectural walkthroughs ensuring correctness and maintainability

  • Champion automated testing strategy – unit, integration, and end-to-end coverage

  • Lead and grow a team of 6–12 engineers; manage hiring, onboarding, and career development

  • Set clear goals, expectations, and performance benchmarks; conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews

  • Mentor senior and mid-level engineers toward technical leadership; build a culture of ownership and accountability

  • Partner with Product Management to translate business requirements into engineering roadmaps and delivery plans

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product Management) to ensure smooth delivery and quality

  • Manage project timelines, dependencies, and technical risk; communicate status and blockers to leadership proactively

  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends; drive continuous adoption of better engineering practices

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript / TypeScript, Angular / Vue.js

  • Strong back-end expertise in Node.js; working knowledge of Java, Python, or .NET

  • Database expertise: SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra)

  • Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • CI/CD tools and DevOps practices

  • Version control: Git, GitHub / GitLab / Bitbucket

  • Unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing frameworks
