Job description

ApplyBoard simplifies the study abroad application process by connecting international students, international student advisors, and educational institutions on one personalized platform. For more than a decade, ApplyBoard's team members have been dedicated to breaking down barriers to international education, while thriving at a company that invests in their career growth. Oursix core values guide us in our mission to educate the world, and are the foundation of our company culture. As an organization built on diversity, our team members are representative of the students we support.

The Opportunity

ApplyBoard is seeking a results-driven Events Manager to own our ApplyBoard-led global events strategy from A to Z. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and optimization of a diverse events portfolio to elevate brand visibility, engage partners, and drive revenue pipeline.

What you’ll be doing every day:
  • End-to-end execution: Own all phases of event lifecycle management from initial strategy and timeline planning to on-site logistics and post-event wrap-ups.

  • Portfolio management: Oversee and deliver three distinct categories of events:

    • Small-scale: Regional workshops, dinners, and meetings focused on tight admin, logistics, and localized marketing assets.

    • Medium-scale: Multi-city global tours and regional Partner Connect and Prime Summit series requiring complex stakeholder coordination.

    • Large-scale: Flagship annual conference(s) featuring full-scale production, 1,000+ attendees, and 70+ sponsors/exhibitors. (Example)

  • Vendor and budget control: Support contract negotiations with venues, production agencies, and suppliers globally to ensure cost-efficiency and strict budget management.

  • Asset creation and marketing: Collaborate with creative and product marketing squads to build high-impact event assets (digital campaigns, signage, print collateral, and swag).

  • ROI analysis: Track event performance; conduct rigorous post-event analysis to measure impact on qualified pipeline and lead conversion.

What you bring to the table:
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate event planning and management, ideally within a high-growth tech, B2B SaaS, or EdTech environment

  • Proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder conferences (1,000+ guests) and international logistics; and working with vendors and contract negotiation

  • Strong commercial negotiation skills, exceptional cross-functional project management, and a hands-on, execution-oriented mindset

  • Highly organized and a strong project manager with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and tight deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, control situations, and provide leadership to cross-functional staff

  • A dynamic personality with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills demonstrated by a strong network of contacts and relationships

  • As required, ability to work outside of regular hours, occasional weekends, and travel globally

  • English proficiency
