The opportunity:



We are seeking a Finance Data Scientist to join our Finance Data & Analytics team. This hybrid role combines advanced analytical and modelling skills with strong finance understanding. You will help deliver our Finance analytics and AI roadmap, build scalable analytical products, and embed data-driven insights into financial processes.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a newly established global capability, working on high-impact initiatives that shape the future of Finance.
 



How you'll make an impact:



  • Design, build, and maintain analytical and machine learning models for core Finance use cases such as forecasting, profitability and cash‑flow modeling, scenario analysis, and decision support. Translate complex business questions into structured analytical approaches and deliver insights that influence decision-making.
  • Collaborate with IT and data teams to design and maintain reliable data pipelines connecting ERP, CRM, planning, operational, and external datasets. Ensure data availability, quality, and readiness for analytical and modelling use cases.
  • Ensure robust model governance, including versioning, validation, documentation, and ongoing performance monitoring. Serve as the capability owner for selected analytical solutions, ensuring their stability, relevance, and continuous improvement.
  • Promote data and analytics best practices within the global Finance community. Support stakeholders in adopting new analytical tools and insights and contribute to the maturation of Finance’s data-driven capabilities.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:



  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related field with exposure to corporate finance, FP&A, or financial modeling, Alternatively, a Finance or Economics degree complemented by data science training or certifications.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or quantitative analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and analytical libraries.
  • Experience with machine learning development, including model design, training, testing, and evaluation.
  • Familiarity with financial and ERP data structures and the ability to work with complex multi-source datasets.
  • Understanding of financial statements and processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to frame business questions into analytical solutions.
  • Clear, structured communication skills, including the ability to translate technical insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Proactive, curious, and comfortable operating in a dynamic and evolving environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong business partnering abilities.
  • Experience working in a multinational, matrix organizational environment.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
